Whether it’s just the two of you or a full family with kids and pets, a little preparation makes all the difference! Here are a few simple ways to make your Christmas self-portrait session smooth, fun, and full of great moments:
🕓 Arrive a little early – give yourself time to settle in, fix any last-minute details, and start your session relaxed and ready.
📸 Plan a few poses in advance – having a few ideas helps everyone feel confident and ensures you make the most of your time in front of the camera.
👗 Coordinate your outfits – choose simple, cohesive colors for a clean and timeless look that photographs beautifully.
🐾 Bring small treats or toys – perfect for keeping little ones (and pups!) focused and happy. If you’re bringing pets, make sure they’re comfortable and well-trained in a studio setting.
👑 Nominate one “camera captain.” It helps to have one person guide poses and timing so the rest of the group can relax and enjoy the fun.
